Alberto Ponce-Torres has received the special Archimedes award for the best initiative of entrepreneurship thanks to the work titled: “The production of viscoelastic capillary jets with gaseous flow focusing “, directed by Emilio José Vega and José María Montanero, professors of Fluid Mechanics of the University of Extremadura. The work for which the young researcher has been awarded by the spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport consists in the development of a technique to apply the so-called “gaseous flow focusing” to the production of viscoelastic micrometric jets with a lot of industrial and biomedical applications.
